After the ESA confirmed that E3 2022 was going to be canceled, several companies revealed that they’ll be holding their own showcases during the usual E3 schedule. The first to do so was Microsoft with the Xbox and Bethesda showcase and Xbox Games Showcase Extended on June 12 and June 14, respectively. Sony followed with its June 2 State of Play, where it dropped details on big third-party titles like the upcoming Resident Evil 4 Remake, among others. Although Ubisoft and EA aren’t going to be part of the June festivities, Capcom will be. According to the Japanese mega-company, the Capcom Showcase will take place on June 13 at 3:00 PM PT or 6:00 PM ET and will feature 35 minutes of “details and news on previously announced titles.”
— Capcom USA (@CapcomUSA_) June 7, 2022 Here’s a quick list of all the games that we could see at the Capcom Showcase:
Street Fighter VI Resident Evil 4 Remake Resident Evil Village VR and/or DLC Resident Evil Re:Verse Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak Exoprimal Pragmata
The trio of Resident Evil remasters that Capcom announced earlier this year will also be featured. June is definitely turning out to be much bigger than expected. We’re hoping to get more last-minute announcements of upcoming showcases. If we’re not mistaken, Square Enix has yet to announce its Final Fantasy VII 25th-anniversary celebration will take place.
