According to reports Philip Jack Brooks, otherwise known as CM Punk, might come back to the WWE. WrestleVotes recently gave GiveMeSport an update on how the new WWE Head of Creative, Triple H, feels about CM Punk’s return to the WWE. Previous reports claim that The Game was open to bringing the two-time AEW champion to WWE in a part-time capacity. Months after saying that Triple H wanted nothing to do with the retired MMA artist, WrestleVotes now claim that The Game has “softened” his stance albeit the animosity between the two is still there. WrestleVotes says: CM Punk is a WWE legend that could one day find his name in the WWE Hall of Fame. Before a bitter divorce from the WWE in 2014, CM Punk enjoyed an illustrious career that saw him switch between heel and hero seamlessly en route to multiple championships. To date, Brooks’ 434-day reign as WWE Champion is still the sixth longest in WWE history. As WrestleVotes points out, there’s a “war” happening right now between WWE and AEW. Triple H is already pulling out all the stops by bringing back Brock Lesnar to face off against Bobby Lashley at the Crown Jewel with the main event being Roman Reigns vs Logan Paul. Short of bringing back The Rock and Goldberg in the next few months, signing CM Punk to a short-term deal will give the WWE plenty of momentum. It’s worth noting that no report states that the WWE and CM Punk have sat down to discuss terms of a potential return. But, the way that things are going right now suggests that a WWE comeback for CM Punk is imminent.
