Months after the infamous leak broke news of everything from God of War’s PC port to Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition, it appears that another unannounced game included in the “unofficial” list is coming out again. According to a recent SteamDB entry, Housemarque’s PS5 exclusive, Returnal, is headed to the PC platform next, at least via Steam. VGC points out that Oregon, the codename for the listing, refers to Returnal. Descriptions like “roguelike” and “bullet hell” could refer to a lot of indie titles, but not when you throw “third-person shooter” and “sci-fi” into the mix. Also, a telling sign that the page refers to Returnal is that it mentions Returnal’s recently added endless mode, Tower of Sisyphus, as well as the game’s main planet, Atropos. With Uncharted: The Legacy of Thieves Collection reportedly headed to the PC sometime in June, Returnal could follow suit. Returnal’s arrival on the PC is definitely in line with Sony’s plans to expand the reach of its first-party exclusives. After keeping its best-selling titles all to itself for years, Sony opened its library to PC gamers. As revealed by Sony alongside the company’s plans to launch three live-service games this fiscal year, Sony expects to make around $300 million by March of next year. This suggests that Sony intends to release more PC ports this year, which its Nixxes Software acquisition last July could definitely help with. Having said that, a combination of several PC ports of exclusive titles like Returnal, Ghost of Tsushima, Horizon Forbidden West, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, on top of Uncharted: The Legacy of Thieves Collection, could help Sony to reach $300 million in sales less than a year from now. In the meantime, fans can look forward to seeing the new PS Plus go live in their region. As promised, Sony rolled out the revamped PS Plus in Asia first on May 23.
