According to the official announcement, the first double XP event date for Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 will be on December 1 and 2. However, for the PS5 and PS4, the event will start early on November 30. You can check out the official Warzone 2 Trello board for more information. The most interesting part here is that the double XP event will take place on a Thursday and a Friday (as well as a Wednesday, if you’re a PS4 and PS5 owner). Usually, Activision Blizzard schedules these types of events on weekends when player numbers are at their peak. It will be interesting to see if this is a one-off experiment or if this trend will continue. Perhaps this is an attempt to get the numbers of Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 to be more consistent all week around. The extra day for PS4 and PS5 gamers isn’t unprecedented nor surprising. Sony still has an existing deal with Activision Blizzard for PlayStation-exclusive content in Call of Duty games.
