Middle East Stars League owner, Abdallah Al Ghifari, revealed Neymar had roped in a few of his teammates, specifically, fellow forward, Gabriel Jesus, and midfielders, Casemiro, Lucas Paqueta, and Everton Ribiero, to subscribe and play in the biggest CS:GO hub in the region on Monday, November 21. The MESL owner even joked about streaming the five-man lineup’s matches. We’re pretty sure this would rake in hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of viewers with little to no effort.

But, while it’s not the most relaxing game, it’s not unusual for professional players to use it to blow off some steam. When you consider that the World Cup is one of the biggest sporting events in the world, you can’t blame Neymar and his teammates for using CS:GO as a brief and temporary escape. Besides, Neymar isn’t new to CS:GO. The superstar soccer player revealed a couple of years ago his CS:GO rank, which is Master Guardian 1. He’s also at least level 3 in FACEIT. This doesn’t put him at the top of the rankings, but both are above average. This isn’t half-bad at all when you consider that he only plays CS:GO for fun. Also, his love for gaming isn’t exclusive CS:GO, as he recently lent his likeness to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 along with other footballers.
