Trailer for Narcos: Mexico Season 3 teases an explosive end
Back in September, Netflix confirmed that Narcos: Mexico was going to end with its third season on November 5. A few weeks after confirming the launch date of Narcos: Mexico Season 3, Netflix has released a new trailer, available in full below: As we may have already mentioned, the series-closing entry of Netflix: Mexico will premiere on the streaming giant on November 5. For a follow-up season, Season 3 of Netflix: Mexico is changing a lot. For example, showrunner Eric Newman is no longer on board. Instead, it’s Carlo Bernard’s turn in the pilot’s seat. Meanwhile, Diego Luna, who portrayed Miguel Ángel Félix Gallardo for the first two seasons, will not be coming back. Several other newcomers will also join the series for Season 3 including Bad Bunny as Kitty Páez and Luis Gerardo Méndez as Victor Tapia. Rounding out Netflix: Mexico’s varied cast of newcomers for the series finale are Scoot McNairy, Mayra Hermosillo, Alfonso Dosal, and José María Yázpik, among others. Netflix’s Narcos series has been a huge hit ever since the first season premiered way back in 2015. The first two seasons of the original Narcos series centered on the rise to fame and power of the infamous drug kingpin, Pablo Escobar, as well as his eventual downfall. The third and final season then picks up on the events following Escobar’s fall and the Drug Enforcement Administration’s ongoing war against the Cali Cartel. For Narcos: Mexico, Netflix explored the life and death of Kiki Camarena in its first season. The second season ramped up the action as Kiki’s death signaled the start of the drug war between the DEA and drug cartels. Now, by the looks of it, the third season will amp up the bloodshed even more. With that said, it remains to be seen if Netflix intends on releasing more spin-offs to the critically-acclaimed series once Narcos: Mexico drops on November 5.
