According to Netflix, the story of the Robinson family is going to come to an end in the third season. To celebrate the arrival of the series’ final season, Netflix just dropped a new trailer that will tease what’s next for the family of colonists and their uber-helpful robot.
Lost in Space is finally coming to an end after three seasons
As already mentioned, Netflix’s Lost in Space is a reimagination of the 1965 sci-fi series of the same name. Just like the original series, which aired from 1965 to 1968 for three seasons, it appears that Netflix’s adaptation is going to last for as long once again. If you’re curious to find out what’s in store for the Robinson family in Season 3 as they try to reunite with each other after being separated, be sure to watch the trailer below: This is the second trailer released by Netflix for Season 3 of Lost in Space. However, this one is much more extensive and provides a better look at the sheer scale of the last eight episodes of the sci-fi series. Among many other significant events, Lost in Space Season 3 will see Maxwell Jenkins’ Will Robinson put himself in grave danger with Parker Posey’s June Harris supposedly returning from the dead. As for the final season’s story, things will pick up from the end of Season 2. Zack Estrin will return to finish what he started as the series’ showrunner. Outside of Lost in Space, Estrin is credited as a writer for Prison Break and Charmed, as well as the creator of ABC’s Once Upon a Time in Wonderland. In addition to Jenkins and Posey, the Lost in Space cast includes Molly Parker, Toby Stephens, Taylor Russell, Mina Sundwall, and Ignacio Serrichio. Judging from the Lost in Space Season 3 trailer, it appears that Netflix is gunning for the Outstanding Visual Effects win after receiving a nomination for the past two seasons. Hopefully, the third time is indeed the charm for Lost in Space. In the meantime, fans can look forward to watching Lost in Space’s final season on December 1.
