However, for all its success, it wasn’t without its fair share of challenges. This is a major change that could make or break the film. But, if it’s any consolation, the first movie’s ensemble cast will all return in the sequel, along with the director, Ryan Coogler. According to rumors and speculations, the plot of the next Black Panther film will revolve around a war between the hidden nations of Wakanda and Atlantis. Both of these civilizations have chosen to hide from the prying eyes of men. However, their ideologies are not necessarily the same. Whereas Wakanda hid out of fear of its technology being abused, Atlantis secluded itself underwater because its previous interactions with surface dwellers taught its leaders not to be too trusting. If this is true, then it will be interesting to see how the film will introduce Atlantis, as well as the long-rumored arrival of Namor, who is essentially the MCU’s equivalent to the DCEU’s Aquaman. With that said, we can expect more details about Black Panther: Wakanda Forever to be announced or leaked in the coming months. In addition to returning cast members, the Black Panther sequel is going to welcome some new faces. This includes Michaela Coel and Tenoch Huerta, the latter of which is rumored to be the one who will play the Sub-Mariner, otherwise known as Namor.
