The actor, who is survived by his daughter, Karsen Liotta, and engaged to Jacy Nittolo, was in the Dominican Republic and filming John Barr’s, Dangerous Waters, at the time of his death. Liotta is an iconic actor who had found steady work in TV shows and movies since the late 1970s. However, most audiences will probably remember him for his role as Lucchese crime family mobster, Henry Hill, in the 1990’s Goodfellas by Martin Scorsese. Liotta has also had several other memorable film and TV roles, including starring as an ex-con and alcoholic in a 2004 episode of ERA, which won him an Emmy for Oustanding Guest Actor in a Drama series. At the moment, Liotta has at least five films slated for a posthumous release, including the aforementioned Dangerous Waters and Cocaine Bear, a film based on a true story about a black bear that took a massive amount of cocaine. Gamers will also forever remember Liotta for lending his talents to Rockstar Games’ massive open-world franchise, Grand Theft Auto. Liotta was the voice of Tommy Vercetti in 2002’s Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, who we named as the fourth-best in our GTA protagonist ranking.
