As pointed out by influencers who received a unique goodie package from Activision, the stack of pizza boxes comes with a “receipt” saying that Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time is finally coming to Steam on the 18th. In addition to this, the boxes contain another message that reads, “Hungry for more? Try out our new Wumpa Pizza for $12.08!”. Some believe that this is Activision’s way of saying that people should keep a close eye on December 8, which is when the next The Game Awards event will take place. Interestingly enough, this would mean that Activision Blizzard will be at TGA this year after skipping the last one in the midst of all the controversy. Keep in mind that there’s no explicit mention of a new announcement at all, but Activision isn’t one to send out packages just like that for no reason. Furthermore, the mention of “Wumpa Pizza” hints at the name of the long-rumored Crash Bandicoot project, Wumpa League. After successfully reviving Crash Bandicoot in the past few years with remakes and a new entry, it’s believed that Activision wants to go the free-to-play route with Wumba League. This unconfirmed game would reportedly feature similar gameplay to Fall Guys, which recently launched its space-themed Season 2. Finally, rumors from earlier this year claimed that Toys for Bob was working on a new Crash Bandicoot game, which the studio itself hinted at in August.
— Wario64 (@Wario64) October 7, 2022 At the end of the day, Crash Bandicoot fans won’t have to wait for too long to find out if a new Crash Bandicoot game is in the works or not. As we’ve already mentioned, The Game Awards 2022 kicks off in two months on December 8. Meanwhile, the rumored release date of Crash Bandicoot 4 on Steam is just a little over a week from now.
